    • RESULT :

    Continuing the legacy of educational excellence, the students of St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Mhow once again brought laurels to the school in Class X and XII examination (2021-22).

    Standard X:

    Out of 134 students 16 students scored 90% and above, 106 students got First Division and 22 students got Second Division.

    Anushka Chaturvedi topped the school with 95.2%.

    Standard XII:

    The students of St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Mhow waved the flag of success this year also.

    Out of 98 students 11 students scored 90% and above, 83 students got First Division, and 13 got Second Division and made the school proud with their excellent result.

    • Mariya Burhanuddin Charkhiwala of Commerce Stream topped the school with 94.6%.
    • Shivangi Tiwari and Shraddha Agrawal got 100 marks out of 100 in Business Studies.
    • Anshika Chouhan and Rajnandani Kadambari got 99 marks out of 100 in Business Studies
    • Disha Pancholi got 99 marks out of 100 in Informatics Practices.

    Cash prize of Rupees 1000 was given to the teachers whose students secured 100/100, 100/99, 95/100 and  in all subjects and 95 and above in languages

     

    1. LITERARY ACHIEVEMENTS:
    • Young orator Swara Hasabnis of class 1won the best performance prize in the Inter-school English poem recitation competition organised by Indore Sahodaya at South Valley School, Betma.
    • Pratishta Tripathi and Samridhi Jogitook part in English debate competition under the eaves of Sahodaya group at Indore Public School, Indore.
    • You don't win a debate by suppressing discussion; you win it with a better argument.”

          Yashi Sharma and Avishi Agarwal brought laurels to the school by winning the first prize in inter School debate competition held at Maheswari School, Mhow.

    • Keeping the legacy going, Nidhi Raghuvanshi grabbed the first prize in Hindi debate at Arya Samaj Mhow.
    • Best overall performance won in senior science Bal Vigyan and Senior Maths Bal Vigyan organised by Indore Sahodaya.
    • “Critical thinking and curiosity is the key to Creativity”.

           Students of class 6 to 12 participated in stamp designing competition organized by Indian Postal Department. Best five were picked up by the department for appreciation.

    • ASSISI Cultural Fiesta 2022 was held at St. Paul’s Hr. Sec. School, Indore.

          School team gave an outstanding performance and bagged the best overall performance. The skit was scripted and prepared by Ms. Maya Dubey and Ms. Deepa Dubey.

    • Marians again! Students brought laurels to the school in Junior Sahodaya Science Bal Vigyan by grabbing the best content and knowledge award.
    1. EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:
    • Meetings and greetings among students and teachers after their summer break. Assembly commenced with a short prayer service by the teachers invoking God’s blessing on the school family.
    • Sickle cell Anaemia Screening Programme held at school under the urges of the Honourable Governor of MP and Red Cross society with the aim to timely provide medical instructions to protect the future of the students.
    • Environment week was celebrated by all the houses on the theme “Green India”.
    • Students from classes 1 to 12 went for excursions and picnics with the teachers to different places.
    • Various festivals and national days were celebrated in the school. Students participated in mathematics, biology, commerce, science and GK Olympiad organised by Silver Zone Olympiad foundation and Science Olympiad Foundation and brought laurels to the school by qualifying in the second level.
    • MockOlympiad exam was conducted by Byjus Organisation for maths.
    • Students witnessed the live relay on “Pariksha Par Charcha” by our honourable Prime Minister

          Mr. Narendra Modi for the board appearing classes.

    Special activities and House-wise competitions were conducted for  students for two main festivals with 100% participation. Activities were conducted  on 21st Oct for Diwali &  on 22nd December  for Christmas.

    1. SPORTS:

     

    • Our school got the first prize in the march past competition held on Garrison ground on Republic Day.
    • The school basketball team took part in interschool Sahodaya basketball competition at Satya Sai School, Indore.
    • School basketball team won the championship at Vikrant College Mhow.
    • Two silver medals were grabbed by the students at St. Arnolds School in the sports meet.
    • School athlete team won 21 medals in the various competitions held by Mhow Cantonment for the celebration of 74th Republic Day.
    • Students of IX and XII went to Cantonment school for mass Yoga. 250 students participated in yoga session organised by Cantonment of Mhow.
    1. INVESTITURE CEREMONY:

     

    • Installation of the new office bearers was done by Sr. Prerna. Major Sonam Pandey, an ex- Marian was the chief guest and Sr. M. Mariette (Provincial FSMA) honoured the occasion with her presence.
    1. FAREWELL:

     

    • A heartfelt farewell given to Ms. Humaira Sayeed and Ms. Santosh Joshi for their dedicated services rendered to SMA family.
    1. TRIBUTE:

     

    • “A great soul serves everyone all the time and never dies. It brings us together again and again.”

    Sr. Immaculata, hence known as Sr. Ishalata passed away on 3rd of August 2022. SMA family paid their heartfelt and humble tribute to the creator of the school logo, flag and anthem. Her loss will always be immeasurable, but so shall be the love left behind.

    1. SEMINARS AND WORKSHOPS:

     

    • “A healthy mind dwells in a healthy body.”
      Mariya Victor gave a talk on PCOD and hygiene to all the teachers and students of classes 6th to 12th.
    • Teachers attended a seminar on National education policy and Annual Pedagogical plan. Resource person was Ms Neeta Ganguly.
    • “Learning is a continuous process”

          Teachers attended a seminar on Art Integration specially focused on New Education Policy and Annual Pedagogical Plan.

    • ISSC organised a webinar for class 12th on Emotional Intelligence and career decision. Resource person was Ms. Alpana Awasthi.
    • Online orientation session was organised by CBSE and MIC in collaboration with IIT Bombay on Design Thinking b and Innovation Ambassadors.
    • Motivating once again; an online webinar was conducted by Holy cross school, Bokaroon the topic “Motivating students in the changing times” by Dr. V.S. Ravindran for the teachers.
    • Teachers attended a workshop on Artificial Intelligence for educators and mentors by Prof. M. M. Pant and Ms. Mennakshi Aneja organised by Sahodaya School Complex.
    • Two sessions on values for classes IX to XII and VI to VIII were organised Resource person Fr. Sanjay Paraste
    • Meditation for Mental wellness after Covid 19 was conducted.
    • Awareness camp on POSCO was conducted by the civil court Judges of Mhow.
    • Motivational talk was delivered to students of X to XII by Major Palvinder Grewal.
    • Motivational and Career guidance seminar by Saurabh Vishwakarma was conducted for students of class X to XII.
    • SBI (Mhow Branch) gave a talk to the students on various Scheme and retirement benefits and saving.
    • 2nd Training session for smart class was taken by experts of Next Education.
    • Seminar on Psychologoical testing for Principal in School Education was attended.
    • Orientation On School Health and Wellness for Principals.
    • IPN (Indian Principal’s Network ) NEP 2020 Manthan was headed by Gaurav Yadav.
    • Seminar organised by Dr. Neil for Principals and sisters working in schools was conducted.
    1. EDUCATIONAL HELP:

     

    • Considerable amount of concessions were given to the poor for the academic year 2022-23.
    • School organised a Fete to donate the profit to the needy.

    CELEBRATIONS:

     

    • Environmental week day was celebrated house wise with special emphasis on plantation of crotons on 1st July 2022.
    • Sma family celebrated the birthday of our school manager, Sr. Julia with love and affection.
    • Grand celebration for the staff and students on the closing of Sesquicentennial year( 150 years of Foundation day of the institute) and Golden Jubilee of Religious life of Sr. Mariette was done.
    • To mark the patriotic valour, Independence Day was celebrated. On the same day Scholarships were given to the meritorious students sponsored by late Col. Dixit and scholarships by PTA, Mr. Shailedra Shukla and Mr. Rakesh Choudhary.
    • Staff enjoyed picnic at Grand Machal and Co-workers at Royal resort Patalpani.

    EXTRA ORIDINARY

    • Name of our teacher Deepa Dubey was scripted in India book of records for completing the Ladakh Circuit and Umling la (the highest motorable pass in the world. Her solo trip started on 10th May 22 and ended on 27th May 2022.
    • After years of waiting the school won the Supreme Court case against Mr. Bhargawa working in our school office.
    • Changing of the optional subject by removing Hindi and making Informatics Practices Compulsory was done in 2021.
    • Next year introduction of new optional subjects will be done.

    SHRANDANJALI

    • Special prayers were organised for Meenakshi Bisen of VIII std, suffering from brain tumour for past 2 years passed away on 4th May & Angel Bhuriya , student of class X A from St. Ann’s Boarding  died at home due to fever on 14th October 2022.
